KATY BARNES

Experienced Falconer and supreme bird overlord

My name is Katy Barnes, born and bred Hampshire native with a wild side for birds of prey. I’ve had the privilege of working with the Hawk Conservancy Trust for a number of years as a falconer, providing the public with demonstrations and the tools to make a difference.

I’m driven by conservation, which lead me to visit the Dullstroom Bird of Prey and Rehabilitation Centre in South Africa.

I’m also very privileged to volunteer with TWO Bird Experiences & Education Ltd and their wonderful team of birds, located at Riverborne Community Farm and Finkley Down Farm.

  • Dedicated to bird of prey conservation, My goal is to prevent the destruction of habitats, improve public opinion of predatory birds and prevent the poisioning of wild birds.
  • I train and inform, getting to see the birds in action and share that with the world.
